First time in Port DIckson and this is because we (CZ, my sis and I) had to attend a KBS selection camp for exchange programs. We arrived one day before the camp (all expenses on our own) cause we're worried that we might be late, and plus we wanted to look around PD.
So we took Malindo Air from KK to KL then tax from KL to PD.
Upon landing, we immediately look for bus, taxi or whatever mode of transportation there is to bring us to PD. And after discussion we've decided to take the taxi directly to Lagoon Apartment.
-Cause the price was cheaper than expected. It was RM 90 per taxi. We expected like RM 100/person
-We had no idea where our accommodation is at.
-Didn't wanna go through the trouble of changing bus/train lines/whatever whilst carrying our luggage around.
So in the end we took the taxi and went straight to the apartment.
From bus stop near our place to PD town (RM 1.50 for bus and maximum RM 3 for taxi). There are only 2 buses that are running through the whole of PD so it might take a while for buses to stop by.
While on the way to PD town, the taxi driver told us that, it actually only takes 1 hour to go to Malacaa via the coastal road.
Traffic is only bad on weekends cause people around the area wants to go to the beach.
Peak hour is 8am and 5pm, but still traffic is not as bad as weekends or public holidays.
Most of the tourist attraction is scattered, and unfortunately NOT within walking distance.
So in the end we didn't manage to go to any tourist attraction, all we did was walked the whole of new town and old town, which was a lot of walking. Guess I'll just have to go back to PD in the near future and check out their ostritch farm, army museum and 3D art gallery.
Then we had Domino's for dinner and slept early.
