NIAGARA FALLS: in between canada and the states

I have no idea why, but I've always thought that the water of Niagara Falls flow backwards. Like instead of water going down, it's rising up. Sad to say, the gravity-defying waterfall of my dreams does not exist.
Niagara Falls
Btw, an unfortunate story...
I actually did thought of getting a Canadian visa before going to US but I end up not doing it, so I wasn't able to see the Niagara Falls from the Canadian side. I did however visit it on the American side, so Buffalo is where it's at.

A small beautiful town, with very restricted mode of transportation.
#Tip RENT A CAR when in Buffalo.

Especially if you stay at a place which is in the middle of nowhere like us. So we spent A LOT on transportation for our first spot, every rookie travelers' mistake. We reached BUF train station, took a taxi to our hotel which took about 30 minutes and then when we're there we realized there is no where we can go anywhere else without a car, so we took another taxi to a car rental company which is about 30 minutes cause it was close to the train station we were at. We really wanted to either drown each other or slap ourselves to oblivion because car renting was so much cheaper than our unnecessary taxi trip and not to mention that we wasted half a day trying to figure out how things work around here.

So this is the park next to the Niagara Falls, pretty empty and bare, it's a great place for a walk but it was too cold really. It's late winter but up north days be like 11 Degree Celsius and night are like -3 ?
Niagara Falls during the DAY
It's not as happening as the Canadian side and because we were there during the winter/spring season it's still pretty cold and most of the attractions were close. The plus side to it was going up the viewing deck was free. On warmer days we supposedly need to pay for entry.
For food we went to Lewiston, a place call Brickyard. They're famous for BBQ and Buffalo wings.
And then because we have nothing else to do, we went back to the Niagara Falls for the night view.

As usual here's a breakdown of our expenses:

Wisconsin Dells to Buffalo: Amtrak . $111 . 8 hours
Taxi: $60 x 2 = $120
Accommodation: Byblos Hotel 17.97/person [$71.89 for ONE night]
Car rental: Mazda 3  $22.75/person [$91 for 24 hours + fuel]

Because... why not?

Niagara Falls Panoramic View
Obviously not me, but the picture with Shanice in looks better. The bridge behind her is actually the
Rainbow Bridge, connecting Canada and America.
