To my muslim friends out there who wants to travel but are always bogged down by one thing, FOOD. Fear not, as now you can put another place on your list; Krabi.

Why?

Simply because 90% of the food there is halal and trust me there is more to Krabi than it's halal food.

A 3D3N pre-grad trip:
1st night- Aonang Market, staying close to the market
2nd day- Island trip
2nd night-street food/7-11
3rd day- elephant trekking & emerald pool, blue pool
3rd night-The hilltop & more street food !
4th day- HOME

Aonang Market
Shared among 5 girls, these foods are delicious and dirt cheap! Go excite your taste buds.

Islands
Package includes:
1. Phi Phi island
2. Monkey-island whereby I just stayed on the boat cause we have only 10 minutes before the boat leaves.
3. Island with lot's of bamboo
and 2 more island I can't remember. wow, what a waste of money....

In all honesty, I don't like the feeling of island hoping, or if I were to it would be 2-3 island, max. It's so frustrating to land on an island and then being told to come back in xx minutes and if you dont come back in time they'll leave you. And then you pretty much have to start running to explore the island due to the lack of time. ABSOLUTELY. DESPISE. IT.

But you know, that's just me. I'm pretty sure lots of China tourists who wants to save-time-see-all LOVES trip like this.

Elephant Trekking
To me this was the most memorable part of my trip and I really wanted to change my display picture of me sitting on an elephant until I realised these creatures were probably being exploited. But since I've already went for it, the trip was eye-opening. I mean I knew elephants are big, but I guess only when I was really seeing it, I felt how big this animal is.

Blue pool, Emerald Pool and Hotspring
Emerald pool to Blue pool: 25 minutes (walk).
Not allowed to enter the blue pool because it has all these minerals inside the water which is not safe or something I can't remember. Point is, see, snap and no entering.

Should have allocated more time for us to enjoy the nature walk for Emerald Pool and Blue pool, I'd suggest a 2-3 hour. Instead we were given like 1 and half hours. And that guy kept rushing us, I didn't even have time to look at the street food which smelled GREAT.

#tip Clapping makes the pool produce more ripples.

The hot spring was something new, cause it was an outdoor area:

And the water is really really warm, it's unlike the usual that I've went before, this one you really feel "one with the nature" cause you could be sitting on tree barks and enjoying your hot-spring with your invertebrate friends.
Hilltop
SPLURGED on our last meal, and worth every baht minus scenic view. It was so unfortunate that the weather was hazy/rainy when we were there. The local band was nice with soft and music that takes you down memory lane and food was a 8/10.

Another story for the service tho, so apparently they provide transportation to the restaurant but the first day we called they told us to wait at a certain location, we waited and they were no show PLUS the fact that it was raining heavily that day. The second day we try, the receptionist talking to us was really rude. So being a person who gets wooed by service I vetoed on choosing another restaurant near "the hills" as well, but not as high up, obviously I lost.

Budget:
1. Flight ticket (KK-JB-KL-Krabi-KK)
BKI-JHB       : RM 51
JHB-KUL     : RM 30.33
KUL-KBV    : RM 122.67 (return tickets)
KUL-BKI      : RM 41
TOTAL          : RM 245

2. Packages: (approx THB 2500, RM 289)
Island (Day 2) - THB 1000
Elephant & Pools (Day 3) - THB 1500

3. Food (approx. THB , RM 150)
Aonang Market: THB 250, RM 29)
Hilltop: THB 1644 (THB 328/person, RM 38)
7/11 & others : (THB 720 , RM 83) we bought lots of snacks (pocky) and alcohol

4. Accommodation (RM 83)
1) Sweet Home Guest House (RM 125, RM 25/person)
2) Kith's Home (RM 145, RM 58/person for 2 nights)

5. Souvenirs/Transportation: (RM 83)

TOTAL:  RM 850
I'm actually pretty sure I used less than RM 1k on my Krabi trip. So here you go, a rough figure but do take note that this happened a year ago, so gotta take inflation and currency exchange into account.

Honest Opinion:
I probably wouldn't go back until it's 2030 and hopefully by then the facilities for local places like the "hot spring & emerald pool, blue pool" improved.

The island was really beautiful like wow, clear water, azure blue-coloured sea BUT there's barely sign of life. Corals are almost dead, if you see one fish, you've seen it all, not much variations of fishes. I'm not sure what happened that has the sea floor looking so bare and empty but that was what disappoint me the most during the island trip.

#TravelHacks Check the weather forecast, we went during rainy season so during the island trips, we were rushing because there's a possibility of getting stuck outside. If it rains you'll probably not enjoy the streets so much. Well, you get the idea.

#TravelHacks give their local ice-cream and coffee a shot.

#TravelHacks Go for the Thai Massages so so cheap. An hour of traditional thai full body massage for THB 250, you can even haggle, sometimes they'll give you discounts.

#TravelHacks hunt for tour packages when you're on the streets or when you land at the airport, so much cheaper than planning in advance from your home country.

#TravelHacks Opt for their van going to your accommodation when you first land in the airport. The interior of the van is new and amazing, not one of those old-rundown vans. Price is around THB 600 but so worth it especially if you're travelling with more than 5 people.
