A: Where to next?
Me: Grand Canyon!
A: which rim?
Me: what rim?
A: You've got 3 hours to decide and research on Grand Canyon
Imagine how shock I was to find out that it's not just Grand Canyon but
North Rim that has a short season, only open from May 15 to October 15.
East Rim which is great for an awesome scenic drive.
West Rim is famous for the Glass Sky-walk and

We rented a car from Las Vegas and drove to Canyon, and I had to choose the correct rim because it's not 5 mins apart but few hundred miles and lots of hours apart. Took turns driving and 9 hours later and we are here! And apparently, South Rim is the closest from Vegas.
Grab the map at the office, dont know how to read it? Pass it to someone.
A lot of walking but because it was April when, the temperature was just perfect. It's sunny and breezy.
Had lunch at the one and only restaurant.
Service: 5/10 I think it was cause they wanted to close up and prepare for dinner so they were rushing us.
Food: 6/10 For that price, the food was just okay, not too great.
I really recommend people to bring their own food or snacks.
One thing that did not dissapoint, ICE-CREAM! The lines were crazy long but so so worth it even in the cold weather.
So we went all leg day and try to cover as much land as possible until our legs want to scream profanities at us. We did stumble across this building-place(?) where all the information on the canyon is at. Very very interesting read for those who are interested in stones and rocks and well... great for geologists.
And so after that, we walk, walk and walk some more until we got really tired of walking and then decided to go check out the sunset. There's various viewing spots, but to get there you'll need a car and they are pretty far away like a few miles away.
#Tips REMEMBER to check the time for sunset.
So on the way there we saw some.... elks?
SUNSET is love.
Stayed till night to stargaze and it was amazing! Too bad my sucky phone camera didn't manage to capture the view.
Breakdown of the trip:
Accommodation: 0 (we slept in the car and took turns driving)
Transport: details at the post on Vegas
Food: 30/person (estimated, I don't really remember)
Here's a super happy for you to hopefully make your day.
